Science Applications Wins $96 Million Marine Corps Contract
May 4, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has been awarded a prime contract worth as much as $96 million by U.S. Marine Corps to provide chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear and incident response program support.
The single award, prime contract, has a one year base period of performance, four one-year options and a total contract value of $96 million if all options are exercised.
Under the contract, SAIC will provide support services and equipment procurement for the incident response systems section of the Marine Corps’ systems command. The unit provides leading edge consequence management and technologies to incident response and operating forces from Federal agencies including the Department of Defense, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the U.S. Marine Corps.
