John Bean Tech Wins Manufacturing System Contracts
May 1, 2009 (FinancialWire) — John Bean Technologies Corp. Corp. (NYSE: JBT) said it has finalized automatic guided vehicle system contracts with a U.S.-based provider of consumer goods products for utilization in two European manufacturing plants.
The company said that the facilities, which are located in France and Italy, represent the customer’s fourth and fifth manufacturing plants to use JBT’s AGVs for material movement.
JBT added that contracts encompass 28 fully automated forked vehicles, which will move palletized finished goods from the end of the manufacturing line to storage areas prior to shipment.
The company said it received the order in March 2009 and the systems are currently scheduled to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2009.
