Winter Given Chair At AIG
April 24, 2009 (FinancialWire) - Infamous insurer American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) has named Matthew E. Winter, the company’s senior vice president, and president and CEO of its American General Life Cos. unit, as vice chairman for transition planning and administration. Winter succeeds Richard H. Booth, in the position.
Winter will continue to serve as president and CEO of American General Life Cos., a position he has held since joining AIG in 2006. He was elected AIG SVP in March of 2007. Winter previously served as EVP and member of the office of the CEO for MassMutual Financial Group.
