ITT Wins $121 Million Army Contract

April 17, 2009 (FinancialWire) — ITT Corp. (NYSE: ITT) said it has received a $121 million order from the U.S. Army for the company AN/PVS-14 night vision goggle.

The AN/PVS-14 night vision goggle can be hand-held, head- or weapon-mounted, or fitted to a camera. The goggles operate on a single AA battery.

ITT said has received orders under an Army omnibus contract for more than 300,000 AN/PVS-14 monocular devices, 3,000 AN/PVS-7 goggles and 100,000 associated spare image intensifier tubes.

ITT’s Roanoke, Virginia-based night vision division is a developer, producer and supplier of head- and helmet-mounted night vision solutions and image intensifiers for U.S. and allied military forces as well as the homeland security market.
