About the Author
Tom Zwemer served in World War II as a medic with the 40th Infantry Division in the South Pacific, where he was part of the assault team on three D-day invasions in the Philippines. Under the GI Bill, Zwemer received his dental degree from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in orthodontics from The School of Graduate Studies at Northwestern University. Zwemer served as chairman of the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at Marquette University from 1954 to 1958 and currently serves as vice president of academic affairs and professor emeritus of orthodontics at the Medical College of Georgia.
