New Sci-Fi Novel Explores Similarities between Aliens and Humans

In Probed by Aliens, Harry Means is an avid UFO pursuer. He and his wife spend countless hours searching for aliens but to no avail. Harry's wife eventually loses interest in their pursuit and encourages Harry to do the same, but Harry's enthusiasm doesn't wane. Just as his marriage is hitting rock bottom, Harry is visited by a female alien scientist named Simm. With no proof of the encounter, Harry is considered a lunatic and written off by everyone around him, but when he learns that Earth may be destroyed, he and Simm unite to form a bond that will hold the fate of mankind between them.
Within the book, Strickland and McLeod aim to portray the destruction of Earth's environment and species, as well as the inhumanity and disconnect of man to all life forms, including his own kind.
