The firm fixed price award modifies an existing contract and provides an additional 6,153 Horizontal Technology Integration Second Generation-Forward Looking Infrared Block 1 A/B-Kits.
SG-FLIR is a core infrared sensor supporting fire control and surveillance on several U.S. Army ground combat systems, according to Raytheon. The award also includes foreign military sales to Iraqi and Egyptian forces to provide thermal receiver upgrades for M1 Abrams tanks.
