Dialysis Corp. To Open 2 Ohio Facilities

March 30, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Dialysis Corp. of America (NASDAQ: DCAI) (Current Market Cap: US$47.87 Mil.) said it is developing two new facilities in Cincinnati, Ohio, through an affiliation with the University of Cincinnati, School of Medicine, to be located in the greater Cincinnati area.

The centers will offer equipment and technology, and will include 15 to 18 treatment stations, along with a peritoneal suite. Peritoneal dialysis involves a fluid being injected into the abdominal cavity. Water, salts and waste products to move from the blood into the fluid, which is then changed periodically.

Company CEO Stephen Everett said that the new centers will serve as a further expansion of the company's relationship with a group of physicians and University, which serve more than 450 ESRD patients in and around Cincinnati.

Dialysis Corp.'s first center with these nephrologists currently cares for around 60 patients. These new centers will be the company's sixth and seventh in Ohio.

Linthicum, Maryland-based Dialysis Corp. of America owns and operates freestanding kidney hemodialysis centers located in Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia, and provides in-hospital dialysis services on a contract basis to certain hospitals located in the those states.

DCAI has traded between $4.40 and $8.34 over the past 52 weeks.
