New Novel Parallels Current Global Crisis
Author Bud Connell combines complex characters and earth-shattering events in the hopes of creating a story that will resonate with everyday American citizens in Peak Experience: A Novel
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (MMD Newswire) March 6, 2009 -- Peak Experience: A Novel by Bud Connell is the fictional story of one man's determination to overcome his innermost fears in order to accomplish the seemingly impossible.
In Peak Experience, Connell introduces readers to Trip, an ordinary yet complex man who has just been employed by a charismatic firm. From the moment Trip is hired, danger, intrigue, romance and murder accompany him on a journey sweeping the major ports of the world, where he encounters double-dealers, passionate physical desires and life-threatening experiences. Entrapped by insidious evil but driven by the urgency of survival, Trip must conquer his crippling fears in time to stop malicious conspirators who are plotting to annihilate our way of life.
Motivated by the recent events in Washington and on Wall Street and what the author believes is the general apathy of most American citizens, Connell wants readers to identify with the characters and circumstances in his story. "The hidden conspiracy exposed in the novel is a plot that could actually occur," he says. "It is my hope that the book will penetrate the minds and hearts of readers and encourage them to consider that they, as ordinary citizens, could be called upon to do extraordinary things."
