Halliburton Prices $2 Billion Of Senior Notes

March 11, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) has priced an offering of $2 billion of senior notes. The company said that the proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The notes are being issued in two tranches, including $1 billion of 101/2-year notes bearing interest at a fixed rate of 6.15% per year and maturing on September 15, 2019. The other tranche includes $1 billion of 301/2-year notes bearing interest at a fixed rate of 7.45% per year and maturing on September 15, 2039.

Halliburton said that the offering is scheduled to close on March 13.
