March 6, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Xplore Technologies Corp. (OTCBB: XLRT) (Current Market Cap: US$7.22 Mil.) said it has raised $1.055 million in gross proceeds through the private placement of subordinated secured promissory notes, common stock and warrants to purchase shares of its common stock.

The company and its Xplore Technologies Corp. of America unit issued $655,000 of notes and warrants to purchase an aggregate of 6.55 million shares of the company's common stock, at an exercise price of $0.10 per share, in two separate closings.

Xplore also sold four million shares of common stock and warrants to purchase four million shares of the company's common stock to investors in units, at a price of $0.10 per unit for an aggregate purchase price of $400,000. Each unit consisted of one share of the company's common stock and one warrant to purchase one share of the company's common stock at an exercise price of $0.13 per share.

The company plans to use the net proceeds from the private placements for working capital and general corporate purposes.
