Marrero is a graduate of U.S. Naval Academy, class of 2002. Marrero has 176 carrier landings as part of his extensive aviaton credentials. Liss himself is a highly decorated U.S. Army captain with flew more than 650 combat missions as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He holds an airline transport rating (ATR) in both rotorcraft and multiengine airplanes. Among his awards for valor are the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Bronze Star, the Air Medal for Valor, three Purple Hearts, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry twice. Liss provides advisory and consultative services to major corporations with world-wide operations and regularly lobbies on behalf of Veterans’ affairs and their companies.
