UZBEKISTAN, March 2 - On March 3, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Current issues of further strengthening friendship, strategic partnership and alliance, expansion of mutually beneficial practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were discussed.

The main attention was paid to the implementation of cooperation projects of the leading enterprises of the two countries, primarily in trade, energy, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, construction industry, transport and logistics.

In this regard, regular fruitful contacts at the government level aimed at promoting joint economic projects and cultural-humanitarian programs in accordance with the agreements at the highest level were positively assessed.

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Leaders also exchanged views on the international agenda and important aspects of regional interaction.

The telephone conversation took place in a traditionally friendly and confidential atmosphere.
