Praxair Raises Dividend 25%
DANBURY, Conn.--The board of directors of Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) has declared a quarterly dividend of 37.5 cents per share, a 25% increase from the previous quarter. The dividend is payable on March 17, 2008 to shareholders of record on March 7, 2008.
"This increase demonstrates our confidence in Praxair's continuing ability to generate strong free cash flow," said Steve Angel, chairman and chief executive officer.
Praxair is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America, and one of the largest worldwide, with 2007 sales of $9.4 billion.
