Parviz Adib and Jim Krajecki Join APX

Dr. Adib and Mr. Krajecki are both nationally recognized subject matter experts in the US power markets and represent decades of experience and commitment to the field. Both are located in Austin, Texas.

Parviz M. Adib has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry and comes to APX from the Public Utility Commission of Texas where he was the Director of Wholesale Market Oversight. He served as Manager of the Economic Analysis & Strategic Planning from 1989 to 1995 and later served as the first Director of the Competitive Issues Division through 1997. He also served as the Director of Electric Industry Analysis from 1997 to 2000, when he was named to establish the newly created PUC Market Oversight Division. Dr. Adib has been instrumental in shaping the structure of the wholesale electricity market in Texas since the passage of legislation to open wholesale competition in 1995. In recent years, Dr. Adib worked with stakeholders in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to finalize and implement market design rules for a competitive ERCOT electricity market. His team advised the Texas PUC on issues related to the ERCOT protocols and market rules that govern its operation, including several core rulemaking projects to shape the future of the ERCOT Electricity Market.

Jim Krajecki joins APX with over 10 years of consulting and software design experience in the power and natural gas industry. Jim comes to APX from The Structure Group where he lead consulting engagements with a large variety of clients ranging from investment banks, load and generation resource owners, retail providers, municipalities, co-operatives, and ISO/RTOs. Jim is a recognized subject matter expert on the North American regional power markets (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, ISO NE, CAISO, SPP, NY ISO) and has leveraged this knowledge by assisting clients across the country in improving profitability, efficiencies, and operational capabilities in the regional power markets. Jim has also designed several very successful software applications supporting market participant's interaction and shadow settlements with the regional power markets.
