Red Herring Launches Japan 2007 Conference
TOKYO -- Red Herring announces its first technology and business conference in Japan, to be held in Kyoto on July 22-24, 2007. Alex Vieux, CEO of Red Herring commented, "Japan accounts for the most important market outside of the U.S. Technology companies are key catalysts in Japan's current economic rebound, and we will explore how they are transforming Japan's economy."
Red Herring will bring 300 industry leaders from Asia-Pacific, Europe and the U.S. to Kyoto to spotlight Japan's top private and public technology companies. Participants will explore Japan's vibrant - but often misunderstood and overlooked - entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Red Herring Japan conference, with the theme Insights, will bring together great technology companies with a vibrant group of entrepreneurs. CEOs and investors from around the world will find this a perfect opportunity to explore the unique technology and business challenges in Japan. A large number of Japan's most innovative established corporations as well as disruptive start-ups will be presenting at the event.
Speakers will discuss topics along six editorial tracks: Web 2.0, Entertainment, Wireless, Investment, Cleantech and Digital Living / Digital Workplace. Overarching these tracks will be international comparisons and a lively discussion of how Japan became the world's most innovative country in 2006, according to the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Index.
