Luidia Announces New Software for Windows Vista
SAN CARLOS, California -- Luidia, Inc., a leading global provider of idea capturing technology, announced today two new software releases for its eBeam(R) product line: eBeam Interact version 1.3 and eBeam Capture v.1.0.
Developed in response to feedback from teachers and trainers, the new software versions offer support for Microsoft Windows Vista, audio recording features, and significant user interface enhancements.
eBeam Interact's newest features include:
* Screen Recording with Audio - Record everything that happens on your screen in real-time. Attach a microphone to your computer and add synchronized voice-over to any presentation. Save as a movie file to e-mail or post online.
* Shape Tools - Scrapbook's new shapes tool includes circles, squares, lines, and arrows.
* Customizable Colors - Double-click any color on the Interact tool palette and fill it with any color.
* Tool Palette Sub-menus - New sub-menus allow you to swap out tools on the revolutionary round Interact tool palettes, so you can choose the tools you use most.
eBeam Capture offers the following improvements for whiteboard users:
* New User Interface - This new interface gives you an easy way of digitally capturing your dry erase marker notes. Once the notes are saved to your computer, they can be edited, printed, e-mailed, and broadcasted over the Internet.
* Whiteboard recording with Audio - Create a movie file that plays back all of your handwritten strokes. Use your computer's microphone to record live audio along with it, and then save everything as a movie file.
* Strokes as Objects - Every handwritten stroke becomes an editable object that you can rotate, resize, copy or paste into any application. Draw a diagram on your whiteboard and paste a copy of it into your PowerPoint presentation - it's as easy as right-clicking!
"Teachers, trainers, and presenters will benefit greatly from the easy-to-use, yet powerful new features in these new releases," says Brad Richter, Luidia's Director of Product Design. "Our new software gives these users many more options for creating, presenting, and sharing content for classes, meetings, and presentations."
Availability
The software is free to users of eBeam Projection and eBeam Whiteboard systems. Both new software versions will be downloadable from Luidia's web site (www.luidia.com) in mid-March.
