AN ACT

Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, in cruelty to animals, further

providing for definitions and providing for the offense of

the use of live pigeons for targets at trap shoot or block

shoot.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Section 5531 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a definition to read:

§ 5531. Definitions.

The following words and phrases when used in this subchapter

shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the

context clearly indicates otherwise:

"Trap shoot" or "block shoot." A contest event during which

participants shoot or attempt to shoot targets for either

amusement or as a test of skill in marksmanship that are

launched or otherwise immediately presented to the shooter
