AN ACT

Amending Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, in employees, further providing for

police training.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Section 2167 of Title 53 of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

§ 2167. Police training.

(a.1) ABLE training.--A municipality shall ensure that the

police department provides training in Active Bystandership for

Law Enforcement, known as ABLE training, to each municipal

police officer on a biennial basis by completing a course

approved by the commission.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
