Livingston Woman Indicted on Arson Charge

OVERTON COUNTY – A fire investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Livingston woman on an arson charge.

On July 8, 2020, TBI Agents joined deputies with the Overton County Sheriff’s Department in investigating a fire that occurred two days prior at a home on Swallows Chapel Road in Overton County. During the course of the investigation, Agents determined that the fire had been intentionally set, and that Tracy Hargis was the individual responsible for starting the fire.

On Monday, the Overton County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Tracy Lee Hargis (DOB 06/09/1974) with one count of Arson. Hargis was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Overton County Jail on a $35,000 bond.
