NHIA Announces Keynote for First-Ever Global Congress on Home Infusion Therapy

The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) will be hosting the first-ever Global Congress on Home Infusion Therapy (GCHIT) on April 19, 2021.

ALEXANDRIA, VA, UNITED STATES, January 6, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ -- NHIA announces keynote for first-ever Global Congress on Home Infusion Therapy

The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) will be hosting the first-ever Global Congress on Home Infusion Therapy (GCHIT) on April 19, 2021, and Daniel Kraft, MD, a health technology expert, will serve as the event’s keynote speaker.

Held as a pre-conference to NHIA’s 2021 Annual Conference, the GCHIT offers an opportunity for home infusion clinicians and providers from across the world to share experiences, ideas, accomplishments, and challenges associated with the delivery of infused medications in the home setting.

Considering the growth in home infusion therapy, GCHIT 2021 will provide a focused opportunity for experts from various countries to share their research, and insights about how home infusion therapy functions within their broader healthcare delivery system.

Kraft is a Stanford and Harvard-trained physician-scientist, inventor, entrepreneur, and chair of the XPRIZE Pandemic Alliance Task Force, an organization working to accelerate treatment breakthroughs for COVID-19 and future pandemics. Additionally, with his more than 25 years of experience in clinical practice, Kraft has served as chair for Singularity University and Exponential Medicine.

Following undergraduate degrees from Brown University and medical school at Stanford, Kraft was Board Certified in both Internal Medicine & Pediatrics after completing a Harvard residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital & Boston Children's Hospital, and fellowships in hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplantation at Stanford.

“We’re excited to have Kraft serve as the keynote for our first Global Congress on Home Infusion Therapy. With a 300% growth in the home and specialty infusion industry over the last ten years there is clearly a demand for patients to receive care in their homes, and this event offers attendees an opportunity to not only learn more about the industry, but to share and gain insight from industry professionals around the world,” said NHIA’s President and CEO Connie Sullivan, BSPharm.

As part of the GCHIT program, NHIA will provide an overview of home infusion therapy in the United States, describing operational, financial, and clinical outcomes based on current research.

Registration for the GCHIT is now open. For more information and registration, visit http://bit.ly/nhia-2021-conference.
