Governor Dunleavy Remembers Rep. Jamie Fisher
November 30, 2020 (Anchorage, AK) – Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy and First Lady Rose Dunleavy issued the following statement on the passing of former Alaska State Representative James ‘Jamie’ Fisher, a member of the First Alaska State Legislature from 1959-1960.
“Jamie was a man of selfless service – a Marine in World War II, a member of the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers in the Korean War, a Representative in the First Alaska State Legislature, and a lawyer in the Kenai Peninsula – whose legacy will live beyond his death,” said Governor Dunleavy. “Rose and I extend our condolences to the Fisher family as they honor his memory.”
Governor Dunleavy has ordered that Alaska state flags fly at half-staff on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in honor of Representative Fisher.
