Pierce County health care provider licenses suspended on charges of neglect and assault
OLYMPIA – State health officials immediately suspended the licenses of Pierce County registered nursing assistant and home care aide Patrick Cubi Mbiri (NA.60579505, HM.60855336) pending further legal action.
Mbiri has been charged in Pierce County Superior Court with second-degree criminal mistreatment, a class C felony, and fourth-degree assault-domestic violence, a gross misdemeanor. Charges state that Mbiri neglected to care for a resident who had fallen and been injured. Mbiri allegedly assaulted the resident while she lay on the floor.
Mbiri cannot practice in Washington until the charges are resolved. He has 20 days to respond to the charges and to ask for a hearing.
