W.Va. State Fire Marshals arrest Virginia man on December arson charges
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office announced today that a Virginia man has been arrested on arson charges stemming from a residential fire in Berkeley County.
WVSFMO investigators arrested Robert James Wilson, 32 , of Gore, VA on Monday, June 25 and charged him with first-degree arson. Wilson is alleged to have set fire to a home on Raw Hide Dr. in Bunker Hill on Dec. 29, 2017. He was also charged with 2 counts of receiving and transferring stolen vehicles.
Wilson was arraigned in Berkley County Magistrate Court and is currently in Eastern Regional Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
The arrest was made by Assistant State Fire Marshal G.A. Harms and the Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Department.
