W.Va. State Fire Marshals arrest man in Putnam arson case
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office today announced the arrest of a Putnam County man on charges alleging he intentionally set fire to a residence.
Investigators with the WVSFMO have charged Denver Jordan, 26, of Hometown with first-degree arson and nighttime burglary in connection with an early morning Feb. 5 fire at a 5th Avenue home in Hometown, Putnam County. The structure was not occupied at the time of the fire.
Jordan was arrested on Feb. 13 without incident and arraigned in Putnam County Magistrate Court. He is currently in the Western Regional Jail.
The arrest was made by Assistant State Fire Marshals R.P. McFarland and T.S. Chastain.
