UNICEF/UN0265423
In the run-up to the High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage(UHC) on 23 September 2019, the message must be loud and clear: women, children and adolescents (and their health) are essential to achieving the UHC-related Sustainable Development Goal targets. Beyond the High-Level Meeting, it is vital to ensure that UHC policies and programmes prioritize gender equality and women, children and adolescent health interventions, as well as identify the best ways to meet their specific needs.
Throughout the UN General Assembly week, PMNCH and partner events will continue to address what women, children and adolescents in UHC requires, including key policies, financing, multistakeholder collaboration and accountability.
