Licensed professional engineers presented capital reserve best practices to nearly 50 board members in St. Louis, Missouri. Attendees listened to new proposals on how to prioritize regular reserve studies and how those studies can be implemented to plan and manage future financial obligations for their communities, with several representatives highlighting examples on how to use capital reserve studies effectively. Mutual of Omaha Bank provided participates information on how associations can avoid special assessments, funding options for completing community projects, investment options for community association reserve funds, and how to take the emotion out of annual meetings by focusing on the facts.
