NEW YORK, NY, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, May 14, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Fine Art Shippers is pleased to introduce Joseph Santarpia. This young and talented artist who is currently in the Master of Fine Arts program at the State University of New York at Stony Brook is, without a doubt, a rising star of contemporary art. His works that question the reality of being human have already been shown in many galleries across the state of New York, and they continue to garner the attention of the art community.

Fine Art Shippers is a New York-based art logistics company specializing in handling, moving, shipping, and installing various object of value. We work with artists, galleries, auction houses, dealers, and collectors who entrust us with packing and transporting large collections of art and antiques, including one-of-a-kind items of museum quality. Fine Art Shippers also serves different public organizations and institutions. For example, we are proud to work with the State University of New York at Stony Brook. During our last visit to this university when delivering artworks to the Music Library, we had the pleasure of meeting Joseph Santarpia who had an exhibition at Lawrence Alloway Gallery. This young artist creates absolutely amazing art that is comprised of a perfect mix of realistic and non-representational subject matter.

Joseph Santarpia received his BS in Visual Art Education from SUNY New Paltz in 2017 and is currently an MFA Studio Art candidate at Stony Brook University. Santarpia’s painting practice relates to the questions of landscape and embodiment. The artist mainly works with alcohol ink on synthetic paper to create abstract compositions and watercolor on fibrous paper to depict dimensional human bodies. His paintings are a beautiful attempt to capture certain experiences and to show what it is like being a human in instances of anger, love, conflict, triumph, and other affections.

In addition to ink and watercolor painting, Joseph Santarpia works in sculpture and mixed media collage, sometimes combining several different techniques to create something unique. His works have been exhibited at Lawrence Alloway Gallery in the Melville Library at Stony Brook University, LIC Arts Open, Art League of Long Island, Limner Gallery in Hudson, Mills Pond Galery in St. James, Gallery North in Setauket, East End Arts in Riverhead, and a whole range of other art galleries and organizations all over the state of New York. It is also worth noting that Santarpia works as an art educator for Stony Brook University’s undergraduate Studio Art Program, Gallery North’s Art Ventures Program, and some other institutions.

Joseph Santarpia’s next exhibition titled “The Body: Matter, Form, Fluid” will be held at the Gallery at the Sachem Public Library in Holbrook, NY from 1 to 30 June 2019. Very recommended!
