Join in Concordia University-Portland’s Ultimate Teacher Lounge Makeover April 29- May 10

Portland, Oregon, May 06, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- School teachers go beyond the classroom to transform the lives of students every day.  This Teacher Appreciation Week May 6-10, 2019, Concordia University-Portland is honored to do more than say “thanks,” by launching the Ultimate Teacher Lounge Makeover.   

Concordia University-Portland and its nationwide alumni network of educators invites submissions for a teacher lounge makeover worth up to $50,000. Winner will be announced on May 31, 2019.

“Transforming lives is the true power of education, and everyone can support their local school as the hub of their community” said Alisa Bates, interim dean of Concordia University-Portland’s College of Education. “In appreciation of teachers, we excited to honor the transformative role teachers play in their students’ lives, by improving a teacher lounge.
