Ondjiva, ANGOLA, May 4 - Angolan head of State João Lourenço arrived Saturday morning in Ombala Yo Mungo commune, municipality of Ombadja, 96 km from the capital province of Cunene as part of his two-day visit aimed to assess the effects of drought in the region.,

Accompanied by the first lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, the Angolan head of State will donate food, hay for cattle and two 20,000 liter water tanker trucks.

 

Some 26, 267 animals, including cattle, goats and pigs have died as result of the phenomenon.  

In view of this situation, the authorities have adopted emergency and structuring measures to deal with the effects of drought in the short term.
