Foreign minister in Turkey to strengthen bilateral relations

Antalya, ANGOLA, April 13 - The Angolan Foreign Affairs minister, Manuel Augusto, and his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Çavusoglu, on Saturday morning in Antalya City, Turkey, held a private a meeting focused on the strengthening of the bilateral relations. ,

Manuel Augusto arrived in Turkey last Friday evening, at around 11:00 pm local time, with an agenda focused on the strengthening of relations through the identification of new co-operation areas.  

 

The republics of Angola and Turkey established diplomatic relations on 09 July 1980, which were boosted in 2008 with the signing, in Ankara, of a co-operation agreement in the areas of trade, economic and technical co-operation, as well as one accord in the higher education sector.    

 

Manuel Augusto – who attended the meeting in the company of the Angolan ambassador to Turkey, José Patrício – is due back in Angola on Sunday (April 14).
