MPLA holds extraordinary congress on June 15

Luanda, ANGOLA, March 30 - The VII MPLA Extraordinary Congress will be held on June 15 of this year, which will define the enlargement of the central committee and the intermediate bodies. ,

The decision is expressed in the final communique of the seventh ordinary session of the Central Committee, held this Friday in Luanda, under the guidance of the party's president, João Lourenço.

The Central Committee approved the general methodology for the preparation and holding of its VII Extraordinary Congress and the Resolution on the enlargement of the Central Committee and the intermediary organs.

It also approved the Code of Party Ethics, an instrument that establishes the principles and norms of conduct of the MPLA militant, in the party and in society, and recommended its widespread dissemination and effective application.

The final communiqué, read by Secretary for Party Information, Paulo Pombolo, underscores the militants' support for the society's moralization actions led by President João Lourenço, and encouraged the Executive and civil society to continue to carry out a comprehensive campaign to rescue moral and civic values.

The meeting encouraged the MPLA President to continue with the same determination in the crusade against corruption, impunity, flattery and nepotism.
