Angolan re-elected AUCIL chairperson
Luanda, ANGOLA, March 27 - The Angolan Sebastião da Silva Isata was unanimously re-elected chairperson of the African Union Commission on International Law (AUSCIL) on Tuesday, in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia.,
The re-election happened during the 17th session of this African institution being held in Ethiopia, reads a note from the Permanent Representation of Angola to the African Union (AU).
Ambassador Sebastião da Silva Isata took up the helm of the AUCIL for the first time in 2016 in Accra, Ghana.
The commission is made up by 12 members elected based on Africa’s geographic representation.
