President leaves Cuito Cuanavale back to Luanda

João Lourenço participated in the event along with his counterparts from the Republic of Congo, Namibia, Zambia and DR Congo.
Representatives from South Africa, Cuba, Russia and Mozambique were also present in the historic locality.
In his speech, João Lourenço considered Cuito Cuanavale a heritage of Southern Africa and appealed for brotherhood and unity of the peoples of the region.
More than 20 heroes of the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale were also distinguished by the heads of state, who also placed wreaths at the monument to the military of the Cuito Cuanavale battle.
