Angolan foreign minister tours four countries

Luanda, ANGOLA, March 9 - Angolan Foreign Affairs minister Manuel Domingos Augusto is paying visit since Thursday to four countries of the Southern Africa sub-region -starting from Comoros Islands and taking him to Mauritius, South Africa and Mozambique, according to Foreign Ministry press release reached Angop Saturday.,

 

The Angolan top diplomat is bearing messages from the Head of State, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, for  his counterparts Azali Assoumani (Comoros), Pravind Jugnauth (Prime Minister of Mauritius), Cyril Ramaphosa (South Africa) and Filipe Nyusi (Mozambique).  

The document states that the minister did not reveal the content of the messages, but it is believed the content is related to the closer bilateral relations between Angola and these countries.  

Manuel Augusto had been in Moroni (Comoros), where he delivered the message to his counterpart Soeuf Mohamed, on behalf of  Azali Assoumani, the country's head of state.  

In Port-Lowi he met the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Jugnauth, to whom he expressed solidarity and reinforced cooperation on behalf of the Angolan President.  

On Saturday, the Angolan Foreign Minister travels to Pretoria (South Africa) and Maputo, Mozambique, the last stage of the visit.
