Angola reaffirms commitment to multilateralism
Luanda, ANGOLA, February 27 - Angola reaffirmed in Geneva, Switzerland, its bet on multilateralism as privileged way to face international problems.,
This stance was manifested by the Angolan Foreign Affairs minister, Manuel Augusto, during the 40th session of the Human Rights Council at the high level discussions on multilateralism.
On the occasion, the Angolan official said the multilateralism is one of the country’s main foreign policy.
On Sunday, the Angolan minister underlined that the United Nations, sub-regional and regional organizations are the legitimate forum to secure the making of decisions on complex challenges faced by the humanity.
In line with that, the Angolan FM highlighted the conclusion of the negotiations on the Global Compact for Migration (GCM) an important agreement negotiated under the auspice of the United Nations.
Angola takes up since this year, the coordination of the human rights matters of the group of African countries represented in the Human Rights Council, a relevant area in the world’s political agenda.
