JMPLA elects national secretary in October

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 7 - The ruling MPLA party’s youth wing (JMPLA) will hold its Ordinary Congress in October this year to elect the new organisation’s national secretary, Angop learnt Thursday from official source.,

The new secretary is taking over from Sérgio Luther Rescova Joaquim, who was appointed governor of Luanda province.

 

The JMPLA held its 6th Regular Meeting on Thursday to elect the acting national secretary.

Addressing the opening ceremony, MPLA Secretary-General Boavida Neto stated that the current context demands all militants of the organisation a high sense of patriotism "to keep alive the strength and the space won by the MPLA's youth."

He urged the young people to show their skills and ability to contribute to the development of the country in the various fields.
