SME collects illegal immigrants

Soyo, ANGOLA, January 30 - At least two hundred and thirteen citizens from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), who lived illegally in the municipality of Soyo, Zaire province, were collected and repatriated Wednesday by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) in the region.,

Speaking to the press, the municipal director of the SME, immigration superintendent Lourenço Cabral, explained that the collection and subsequent expulsion of these illegal immigrants are the result of routine actions carried out by staff from various departments of the Interior Ministry in the region.

The micro-operation, according to the source, was specifically related to the islands of Bumba and Russo, as well as to the districts located on the outskirts of the river channels of the river Zaire, such as Kimbumba, Kungu yenguele, Nona and 1º de Maio.

 

Among the citizens repatriated, through the river border post of the Border Guard Police in Soyo, there are 58 women and 20 children.
