Border Provinces Deserve "Special Attention” - FAA

The top general stressed that the intention was to strongly protect the national territorial space, taking in account the vast 2,500-km-long border that Angola shares with the DRC.

 

Egidio de Sousa had noticed a total surrender in the organization and tasks of defense of the homeland by the military stationed in the Eastern Military Region (RML), which encompasses the provinces of Moxico, Lunda Sul and Lunda Norte.

 

He acknowledged that the military of this Military Region is complying with the rejuvenation program in the corporation, reason why, he directed to maintain the prepared combat, vigilance and defense of the territorial space.

 

On the other hand, the CEMG / FAA chief assured the troopers of increasing academic and scientific knowledge in order to master military art and improve the performance of its functions.

 

During his stay in Luena, Egídio de Sousa Santos, visited the Eastern Military Region Command, the 72nd Motorized Infantry Brigade and the Military Training Center and held a courtesy meeting with the governor of Moxico, Gonçalves Muandumba.
