Chinese ambassador stresses bilateral relations with Angola
Moçâmedes, ANGOLA, December 31 - The ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Angola, Cui Aimin, said Friday that in the last 35 years bilateral political relations have become close, resulting in abundant fruit in all areas of cooperation.,
Speaking at the opening of the photo exhibition to commemorate the 35 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the diplomat highlighted his country's help in various sectors of economic and social life, such as railway, water, education, health, road, energy and housing.
"China has helped Angola build and rebuild more than 2,500 kilometers of railway lines, 20,000 kilometers of roads, 100,000 social housing, 100 schools and 50 hospitals, as well as training of more than 2,500 Angolans", he said.
He also mentioned in his speech that Chinese companies have implemented, to this day, projects in Kilamba Kiaxi (Luanda), Caculo Cabaça Hydroelectric Power Station, Soyo Combined Cycle Power Station, Luanda's new International Airport, among other actions in the areas of agriculture, processing industry and manufacturing.
In this context, he highlighted the fact that his country is Angola's largest trading partner, while Angola is China's second largest trading partner in Africa.
