Eastern military region committed to staff training

Luena, ANGOLA, December 27 - At least 124 members of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) attended the technical and professional training in the last 12 months in the Eastern Military Region (RML), Moxico province . ,

 

The commander of the RML, João Serafim Kiteculo, has confirmed this in Luena, eastern Moxico province, adding that the training is part of the ongoing modernisation process of the institution.

 

João Serafim Kiteculo said that the staff attended training at the Army Military Academy, Sargentos Practice School and the Training Center for Auto and Armored vehicle drivers.

Under the ongoing process, the National Defence minister, Salviano de Jesus Sequeira, called in October 2017 for the transformation of the barracks into real schools.

The minister had defended better handling of  the means and equipment made available to the military members.

Following this guidance, João Serafim Kiteculo said that some of the officers, sergeants and soldiers with various specialties are being trained, including in other inland provinces of the country.

During the end-of-year greetings ceremony, João Serafim Kiteculo reiterated RML's willingness to relaunch the second phase of the patriotic campaign "I love life".

The initiative is meant to reduce the road accidents, promote a responsible attitude within the military and curb deaths caused by preventable diseases.
