MPLA wants economic stability for people's wellbeing

Luanda, ANGOLA, December 13 - The secretary general of the ruling MPLA party Boavida Neto Thursday reiterated Government efforts to ensure economic stability for the well-being of Angolans. ,

 

Boavida Neto was speaking at the opening ceremony of a meeting of the Secretariat of the MPLA Politburo with the provincial, municipal, communal and district party committees in Luanda province.

 

The secretary general hopes that MPLA will permanently renew its hope of being a party capable of addressing the pressing issues of Angolans.

 

He said that the organisation has "great" responsibilities that should not be based only on history, but mainly on attitude and good example.

 

The MPLA secretary general urged for partisan unity and better preparedness to meet future challenges.

 

 The politician reiterated the party's congratulations to the senior female handball team on winning the 13th African championship.

 

Angola beat Senegal 19-14 in the final of the 23rd continental championship in Congo Brazzaville.

 

The meeting assessed, among other things, the functioning of grassroots structures, the preparation of local authorities scheduled for 2020 and the prospects of mobilising new militants.
