Luanda, ANGOLA, December 11 - Angolan head of State João Lourenço has authorised the opening of a public tender for the acquisition of medicines, medical means and devices, under the National Electronic Procurement System platform, worth 8.8 billion kwanzas. ,

 

The move follows the urgent need to ensure continued hospital services, according to a press release from the President's  Civil Affairs Office reached Angop on Monday.

 

The initiative is also intended to improve medical assistance and monitoring procedure to patients.

 

The Health minister is tasked with coordinating the public tender process, under the contractual procedure, until its conclusion.
