Luanda, ANGOLA, October 9 - At least 1,259 citizens from various nationalities were detained on September 26-October 3 over illegal migration, lack of work visas and holding false documents. ,

 

The statistics were released by Migration and Foreigners Service (SME), reached ANGOP Tuesday.

 

The source mentioned another group of 1,172 foreign citizens as having been expelled by judicial and administrative decision.

 

The document still referred to 1,897 persons of different nationalities as having been barred from entering due to lack of means of subsistence, application for political asylum, use of non-existent work visa in the EMS database, lack of entry visa fraudulently acquired.

 

Nine national citizens were prevented from leaving the country due to lack of means of subsistence and entry visa in the country of destination.
