9 foreigners arrested over illegal stay
Ondjiva, ANGOLA, October 6 - Nine citizens from various nationalities have been detained in the last seven days in the southern province of Cunene for illegal stay in national territory.

The information is expressed in weekly report released by Migration and Foreign Department (SME), reached Angop on Saturday.
Among the detainees, the document points to seven Namibian citizens, a South African and an equal number of Ivorian.
The action resulted in a crackdown carried out in hotels, gust houses and other similar units based in the province of Cunene.
As for the migratory movement, the SME registered 12, 653 - entry and exit of national and foreign citizens – less 1, 992 in relation to the same previous period.
The SME received 29 applications for the issuance of passports, of these 19 for the first time.
Ten re-issuances of ordinary passports as well as 797 crossing passes and 56 laiseez passer, as having been issued.
