Titled; The History and Business Case for the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC). The paper outlines the history of and the establishment of Veteran businesses as a recognized classification within the Federal government. The history of the NVBDC details the advantages of third party certification for Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Businesses (SD/VOBs). “NVBDC is committed to providing opportunity and access for certified SD/VOBS. Our recent White Paper details our history as the leading third party certification agency, the growth of Veteran owned businesses and the advantages of certification,” said Keith King, President NVBDC.

NVBDC was established in 2014 and identified the need for a credible certification agency that met the certification standards of America's leading corporations for Veteran Business Owners. Once certified with the NVBDC, SD/VOBs have the opportunity to access Supplier Diversity programs and corporations have the assurance that their certification is credible. NVBDC has also been accepted by the Billion Dollar Roundtable (BDR) as the only veteran certification agency that met their “audit standards”.
