On the secondary side side, operators can connect up to four 240V, 60-amp devices.

The MPD-480.3P-112.5KVA-240.208.120-4X60A portable power distribution system is designed to tap into 480V three-phase sources, such as generators or main power supplies, and step down the voltage to 240/208-120V. The included 20-foot 1/0 Type SOOW line-in cord brings 480V three phase power to the NEMA 3R 200-amp primary disconnect, which contains three 150-amp time delay fuses breakers protecting the transformer. Once the voltage has been stepped down from 480V, it is passed to the secondary side of the transformer, which features four watertight IEC 309 pin and sleeve receptacles that allow operators to connect 240V, 60-amp devices.

For protection in extreme environments, the receptacles on the secondary side are equipped with weatherproof covers. Mounted on a sturdy and portable cart, the power distribution station offers flexibility via numerous transportation options. The cart is constructed of carbon steel frame with a powder coat finish. Operators may opt to push the cart around from one location to another. Locking casters provide stability when the system is being used. Skid pockets and pick eyes allow hoisting via forklifts, cranes and other heavy-duty lifters.

Businesses interested in streamlining compliance with safety guidelines may benefit from this temporary power distribution station. These power distribution units are recommended for deployment in industrial plants, remote work sites, exhibits, outdoor locations and events, MRO, repair and maintenance, construction sites and more.

The MPD-480.3P-112.5KVA-240.208.120-4X60A can be customized to suit the needs and specifications of industrial projects. Customization includes cords (length, type and cord cap), voltage, phase (single or three), wiring configurations, panel types, breakers, receptacles, mounting systems, materials and more. Customers interested in custom-built portable power distribution systems may contact Larson Electronics directly for more information.
