Angolan and Portuguese navies exchange experiences

Luanda, ANGOLA, September 11 - Delegations from Angolan and Portuguese navies initiated on Monday, in Luanda, exchange of experiences as part of the strengthening of the existing friendship cooperation ties between the two countries. ,

For the exchange of experiences, the oceanic patrol ship "Viana do Castelo", crewed by 54 military personnel, amongst marines, divers and medical-sanitary team, who will discuss sea issues and maritime security, legislation and governance besides providing medical assistance to local people.    

 

In Angola, the Portuguese delegation aims to continue the cooperation work between the two countries and carry out some actions with naval academy, with some cadets being selected for training at sea.

 

According to Capitan Nuno Bragança, until September 19 it will also be held actions with special bodies of the Angolan Navy, besides other cooperative activities.

 

The delegation, who has left Portugal on August 20, intends to return to the European country on October 20 after holding the same kind of activities in the African republics of São Tome and Prince, Cabo Verde and Côte d'Ivoire.
