CAR president arrives in Luanda

Luanda, ANGOLA, August 30 - The head of State of the Central African Republic (CAR) Faustin-Archange Touadéra arrived Thursday in Luanda to meet with his Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço, during his few-hour visit meant to strengthen bilateral cooperation. ,

 

Faustin-Archange Touadéra was received at Luanda’s International Airport by Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto, accompanied by senior officials of the sector, Luanda governor Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, among other individuals.

 

Faustin Touadéra will also seek Angolan statesman's support for the consolidation of the peace process in his country, promotion of internal reconciliation and pacification of spirits, according to diplomatic source.

 

Angola and CAR enjoy excellent relations in various fields, with stress to political, diplomatic, defence and security, oil and gas, mining, transport sectors.

 

The President Faustin-Archange Touadéra returns to today to Central African Republic.
