German Chancellor recognizes Angola's broader press freedom

The Chancellor made the statement in the first day of the official visit of the Angolan president, João Lourenço, to her country during a joint press conference.
According to the Chancellor, since the current Angolan president took office in 2017, there have been winds of changes in the country through various reforms being implemented in several sectors such as the justice, public companies, State reform under the decentralization of its power and press freedom.
During the press conference, the Angolan Head of State invited German businesspeople to invest more in his country mainly in the iron industry, agriculture, livestock and maritime sector.
João Lourenço also suggested the creation of a public-private partnership for the construction of roads linking Angola and other neighboring countries, so as to enable its participation in regional integrating projects of Southern and central Africa region.
